Gonna be a killer stadium.  I still wish it was downtown…but with Nascar and the mixed used area coming, the Fairgrounds could become a really cool place.

One good thing about the location is there is a fairly large immigrant population that lives / works not far away from here with many coming from nations where soccer is their #1 sport.  Have to hope they’ll have access to tickets and living so close, maybe they can even walk to games on nice days.

I was driving on Craighead yesterday and that road has negative sidewalks, I haven't seen any plans for it, it'll be interesting what they do to activate that street and make it more pedestrian friendly.

With the Wedgewood Ave extension and the Fair Park Phase II, I really hope Craighead gets scheduled to become a nice multi-modal corridor. Think about how this could connect from Melrose all the way to Nolensville Road. That would be great!

From Brandsford back to Nolensville it’s bounded by the Fairgrounds on the left and Coke’s super tall rail tracks on the right. 
 

Something has to be done. Game days that is gonna be one busy road!

Too bad Vandy can’t build something almost exactly the same as this on their campus for their new football stadium.  Perfect size for them.

I think they will be doing some renovations, but doubt it will look as nice as this. Hope I’m wrong.

I am very curious to see what can/could happen with Bransford Avenue, just west of the stadium. We could really have a 12 South vibe with 2-story retail stores and restaurants on both sides of this street which would really be activated on game days / race weekends, as well as other Fairgrounds events. 

These houses are private residences, so it would be a long-term transformation.
