Grand Bohemian Hotel

This is just about topped out. These shots really show how nestled and intimate its setting is adjacent/"in" the park. It's going to be one of the coolest and most unique hotels in the state. I think quite like the Grove Park in Asheville, this is going to be a great cocktail place with a view for Greenville locals and visitors.

The first picture is taken from the Main Street bridge and the second from down in Falls Park. Kind of gives you a feel of what the final height and shape of the building will be. The roof in the center of the building will be a bit taller than this. I like that you will be able to see quite a bit of it from Main Street.

I wonder if CAP will roll out some sort of renovation for the old Bowater building in the near future?  Now would be the time to do so, IMO.

That would be a major improvement. An entire re-cladding off the exterior would be nice. At minimum, adding restaurant and retail spaces on the bottom floor would be a phenomenal improvement.

I think that building is fine, much better than the modern boxes going up now.

Bohemian looking awesome!

To each their own. It has no street activity, and is a cold facade due to the stone and reflective dark glass. It is certainly a relic of its time. Not my personal taste.

  • The hotel is in the framing stage with topping out scheduled for early August.
  • "Interior framing is well underway with the MEP (mechanical, electrical and plumbing) trades currently performing rough-in work," according to Mark Kessler of The Kessler Collection hotels.
  • The construction completion date is scheduled for mid-summer 2021 and the hotel is expected to open late summer 2021.
