Maybe it is just my eyes but nothing looks level in that picture. The pillars appear to not go straight up, and then the horizontal ones look to go up/down some.

I suppose if the steel is solid and able to bear the load the concrete around it doesn't have to be perfectly straight. It does look tacky and disconcerting, though.

This is a guess, but I'd say that the columns are straight and it's just an optical illusion created by the undulating horizontal surfaces. The horizontal floors may be uneven intentionally, possibly for floor drainage?

I thought so too. I put a piece of paper against the picture and they do seem crooked though. Heck, I'm sure those guys know what they're doing haha

Looks like barrel distortion, likely shooting with a Samsung S8.

Samsung Galaxy s7 Edge - no barrel distortion

Yes, people, the photo is correct! Your eyes are not playing tricks on you, nor is the photo distorted in any shape or form!

Check out this on the side! Notice the huge dip in the concrete while the steel rods are stretched completely straight:59e6e31dd20cb_20171015_1505260101.thumb.jpg.7ddd173d1065490a7d95b4b562e24570.jpg

Isn't that a floor of one of the garage levels?  Thought this hotel was of the tower-on-garage-base design. I'd understand a deliberate slant of the floor for water runoff.  But it does look sloppy.

That's my thought, gotta be drainage for the garage.

With the way the SoBro neighborhood is going, by the time a few more of these projects are done, it alone would probably make for a top 40 city skyline in America.
