Is that not Walt Disney World's entire business model toward their hospitality offerings ...taken to another level of course?

...and Las Vegas for that matter?

Touché

Neither are cities I'd want Nashville to model itself after, but they are fun to visit. I guess we've got to cater to all of these tourists somehow.

This isn't bad. Everything we get can't be a Ritz (our tourist base doesn't demand it).  The other boutique hotels will certainly provide the panache and sparkle that some people want to see and experience so we should be okay. This one might actually be fun. I'm still hoping for a big Hard Rock Hotel, it is Music City after all. Of course I'd take a Fairmont, too!

I had heard that 'Little Richard' lived in the top floor of the Hilton next to the arena.  Of course, Minnesota Fats lived in the Hermitage Hotel so I guess it's a thing for celebs to meet guests and get a room. Maybe that's what they are going for.

Pretty sure Little Richard had a place in the "Riot Hyatt" on Sunset in LA.  Both times I stayed there, I ran into him in the lobby.

Hmmm, now does that brand slot between the Grand and the flagship Regency?

Haha!  Probably! :D  That's just what the locals called it.  It was definitely a "rockstar" type of hotel.  Here's a little history on where the monicker came from:

That is interesting about Little Richard.  The one time I ran into him in Nashville was at the downtown Hilton.

He was at St. Thomas Hospital the same time my Mother was there a year or so ago, so he had some connection with Nashville. You never know who you'll run into in Nashville.

How come I never run into Taylor Swift ?

Try going into your bathroom and turn off the lights. Say "I'm not afraid of Taylor Swift" three times. You still won't meet her, but she'll write a song about how she doesn't like you on her next album.
