Re:  The rooftop -  For possible frame of reference as to design style, here are some photos of the 1Hotel South Beach's rooftop, which includes a full restaurant and bar as well pool and cabanas. It's really nice all around.  Not that it will necessarily be the same as Miami where it is a year round fully utilized amenity,  but certainly could be a lot more substantive than other hotel rooftop settings in town....

This morning I was able to get this shot of the "ski jump" on the roof from Tenth and Demonbreun.  I like it that this building has so many architectural frills.

Forgive me if this has been discussed before, but it does appear that the north side of Embassy Suites has no windows since it is likely a party wall.  Is that correct?  If so, it is a shame because there is little chance a tall building will go up on the Customs House parking lot anytime soon.   Perhaps a huge mural?
