One month ago I complimented the looks of this project from the north to make up for earlier criticism of its north face.  This photo today from Seventh Avenue will confirm that opinion, I believe.  Nice job with a tough aspect of building on a lot line.

The Embassy Suites building is a jumbled mess. They conjured up everything  they could think of and slapped in on. It didn't work.

The One Hotel is an uninspiring box. Plain and simple.

In Embassy Suites' "defense", all Embassy suites ever have always been a jumbled mess.

Agreed on 1Hotel.  I don't know that whatever greenery elements (that they usually incorporate on their buildings)  are planned are going to help much.

I finally agree with you on something.  Embassy wearing stripes, plaid, seersucker, corduroy, crushed velvet, denim and sportin’ a mullet.  And a goatee.

I know a lot of folks don't like this building, but I think it's kind of cool. Also adds some nice density that is much needed to that area.

1 Hotel has hired Chef Chris Carey to lead all 3 of their food & beverage outlets: Harriet's Rooftop, Neighbors Cafe, and and the main restaurant, 1 Kitchen.  A summer opening for the hotel and the eateries is planned.
