1 Hotel update: more greenery being hung; central vehicle entranceway (shared with Embassy Suites) is now open.

Thanks for the closeup of the plantings in the racks on the sidewalk awaiting installation. They are actual plants! Heh.  Sure made a difference in softening the look. Really is one of the coolest projects in town.

Makes me think of those 1000 ft cell towers they fix up to look like a big tree…while all the others trees are only 100’ tall.

Driving along I40 after Monster Jam, I noticed the "ski slope" portion of the roof lights up... it's essentially the Chrysler Building for Nashville as far as unique roofs go.

1 Hotel will officially open next Tuesday, July 12th.  It will employ more than 200 people. 

A compliment from GM Nicholas Farina: “One of the nice parts about Nashville, in particular, it has been one of the most welcoming hospitality communities I’ve ever worked in. Not only does our own industry really work together very well, but the level of collaboration with the city itself, wanting to have us be a part of the improvement … you don’t find that level of humility in most city management."

Interesting guest room. Maybe I'm the only one that would not be enthused about having the bathroom open to the rest of the room.  It makes showering not exactly private. I stayed in a hotel with a similar theme. The shower had a glass wall exposed to guestroom.  I stayed when it was still new. I went back, the next year, and the window was frosted.

I’m guessing that in a room with only one bed , they feel your alone or with someone very close to you like a spouse/partner. Hopefully the double bed units have walls and doors for the bathroom

Does it say if the restaurant and rooftop bar will also be open?

Embassy Suites is open. Able to walk around lobby.  Only coffee shop currently up and running among restaurants. Hope to get to upper floors in near future.

Sharp! Can barely even tell the column (to the left of the last picture) is exposed concrete. Amazing how solid design and finish selection can make something like that just fade to the background.
