I was thinking they had to wait for the work to be completed on JWM and the MCC retail before they could start...or did I dream that up?  Something about the city not wanting to block more than one lane on Demonbreun at a time.

^^The part that says "currently in production" means they're trying to figure out how to get 721 guest rooms into a 5 story building.

Looking at the date, I wonder if they mean Fall, because winter of 2018 is past and winter does not start until third week of December and continues into the first three months of the next year.

 

Just saying.

To be precise, winter does begin in 2018. It it POSSIBLE for them to start in winter 2018.

That's like saying "it is what it is." A completely meaningless statement.

Architectural / Construction drawings could be in production, I guess.

I can vouch for the slowness of metro codes right now.  I am peripherally involved in a construction process at work and metro codes took between 2-3 months to certify the water/sewer plans for the redesign of an existing space. THis was much slower than anything that we’ve had to wait on previously.

I discovered Saturday evening that a friend of mine is involved in the local construction industry.   We quickly decided that we can enjoy a very mutually beneficial relationship.

I can tell her about up coming projects, she can give me info on start dates.

Having said that, she said this should start in December.  The W will start sooner.

I really hope you are right Will. I really want to see this project start ASAP. The news on the W is also what I have been hearing as well. So  I take it your friend is with Yates, as they are doing both projects.

Perhaps they are going by the meteorological calendar in which winter begins December 1.
