It looks like 30 to me, too. Does 30 equal 300 feet in this case?

My guess is about 330' including the top decoration.

^wow. 330'? That'd be taller than the westin, and that building (as ugly as it is) was a skyline changer. We really lucked out with this embassy hotel.

I could not be more thrilled with how this is turning out.  Now if we can only get some more renderings that are a bit higher in quality.  It's absolutely crazy to think about how many hotels might be simultaneously under construction in the urban core one year from today.  Also, it boggles my mind to think about what driving down Demonbreun from the Music Row roundabout to the river will look like in 5-10 years.  Practically one huge canyon.

Me either! People who visited downtown Nashville in 2014 and who don't return until '18 or '19, will be stunned. I travel to major cities every week, Boston, Miami, San Diego, Dallas, Houston, Chicago, Charlotte, etc. I'm in Philly today, NYC tomorrow, and in none of the cities to which I've traveled in the past 18 to 24 months have I seen this much S.F. under construction that is concentrated in such a small area as we have in Nashville.

I agree, but you should see Austin. Imagine how Nashville is, but x2.

With this Embassy Suites/Curio Hotel development along with Cambria Suites, that means 955 hotel rooms so far in that block.  The final 1/4 lot in the NE corner is still available for sale from First Baptist Church (it has the same dimensions as the Cambria portion).  Depending on what may end up on that site, this could end up being one of the most densely packed blocks in all of downtown.

Some new renderings and a bit more info.  It is difficult to really tell how many levels are in the parking garage portion of the pedestal.  I'm still guessing it is 8-9.  But other portions of the pedestal, where the meeting rooms, banquet halls, etc. will be located, look to be 4 stories with tall ceilings. The Embassy suites tower (432 rooms) on top of the pedestal looks to be 20 stories, for a total of about 29.  The Curio tower (260 rooms) appears to be about 13 stories, for a total of about 21. A grand total of 692 rooms between the two.

I very much approve of both sides. I especially like that considerable thought was put into the designs, reminiscent of music, but not cheesy (a'la CMHOF).  Kudos to the architect LK Architecture.  Also, I keep getting 28 when I count the floors of the Embassy Suites, not 25 as stated in this piece. Should be over 300' with lobby and cap.

I agree with y'all, the latest development proposals we've been getting have been trash...but this actually looks like the developers took more than 5 minutes coming with a design plus it has height (300'+). And this will have tons of street activation also!

Also....I wonder if the "music bars and notes" motif on the side of the building is a particular song?  Would be cool if it was a famous Hank Williams / George Jones / Patsy Cline / Loretta Lynn song.

I honestly can't recall ever being this stunned, in a positive way, by a project proposal.  I am totally eating crow on this because I *NEVER* thought I'd see anything like this from Embassy Suites.  I mean, this isn't just 'nice...for Embassy Suites.'  This is a legitimately exciting project.  Massive respect to all involved!
