I agree  - 20 more floors would be awesome.  But that could be said about a lot of buildings.

Yes, it does.     It'll look good paired with the ~600' sail (Block 185) which is going up on the dirt patch just to the right of the yellow bridge.

The Design Commission unanimously approved the density bonus for the FAR increase at Monday evening's meeting for both 6 X Guadalupe & The Republic.

I haven't posted any updates in a while about this project.  But it's still actively going through the city's approval process.  Based on the site plan activity, it looks like it might be close to city approval.

They are both being built by the same developer - Lincoln.  A Lincoln Rep has stated that 6 X G is their main focus and will start first.  Lincoln doesn't even have this project on their website where 6 X G is heavily marketed.  But significant pre-leasing could change that.

Lincoln has started marketing this project online.  It has a website and a marketing flyer with new renderings.  The race is on for the next new tallest.

This took a big step forward this week.  The site plan was approved and released this week.

Awesome.  Just over a week after Lincoln announced that their  848' tall 6 X Guadalupe tower was officially underway, they filed the tower crane plans for their other big project.  This one will have three tower cranes.  Keep 'em coming.

Another city filing related to the crane drawing in the previous post states that this is scheduled to start on Monday 12/02.  It also appears that they have selected Harvey Cleary as the GC.

JDskyhigh at SSP photoshopped this tower into a BBVA Bank tower and 6 X G tower rendering.  These are three of the four 700'-850' projects.  The other one - Travis Tower #2 - would be well off to the right in this photo.

This project finally got underway.   It's all office and Lincoln is the developer.  It was partially pre-leased by Vista Equity.  Lincoln has what would today be the three tallest buildings in Austin U/C:  

Waterline - 1,022'

Sixth & Guadalupe - 874'

Republic Tower - 710'

This is a broader view showing that the 874' Sixth & Guadalupe tower is two blocks away.  The white Luffing crane to the right of Sixth & Guadalupe is for the 675' 321 West tower.  That one just started to go vertical.

Here's another construction photo update from 360_Ray at SSP.  Most of Austin's tallest U/C projects are still rising from their excavated pits or only a couple floors above grade.  In two years or so  we could have ~15 Luffing cranes on the skyline over 800'.

The top half of the tower (Floors 34-48) have been pre-leased.  Vista Equity was announced as a pre-lease, but I don't know how many floors they leased.  There is no 13th floor which is why the tower is listed as 47-stories but level 48 was leased.
