CLT-704
Browsing WebPermit on my lunch break and I see a project called "Amelie's French Bakery Expansion" at their current location. I wish we knew what was in store for that entire building.

Eightane
Any updates, esp. of a photo nature, on the Parkwood Church Apartments? This is one of the coolest repurposed properties IMO in all of Metrolina. Have they progressed on the AC screening, and if so, does it look as tasteful as in the renderings?

No. A/C screening (lack thereof) looks the same. And looks terrible.

Damn, that's unfortunate. Well I won't hold my breath on if it gets built more quality-rich, but at least they're saving a historic property and making some unique living quarters for the new tenants. :/ I'm a hopeless optimist that way.

JHart
They used this picture in a Charlotte Agenda article about the Parkwood church apartments. I don't think they're getting screened which is tragic because I think they did a really nice job with the full project. https://charlotte.axios.com/264314/apartment-tour-from-villa-heights-church-to-cozy-apartments/ 1

JRCLT
That article says the church is nearly 200 years old. I don't think so.I believe they meant nearly 100 years old since it opened in 1929. It must have been a typo that they did not catch.

Of course he'll likely agree. 1

Desert Power
The density of those David Weekly blocks is going to be a great asset. And they've designed their street interaction better as the development has gone along.

Popular Post KJHburg
this area continues to boom with Spacecraft's new apartment buildings going up at N Davidson and 25th and the Camden NoDa apartments which I still love on the edge of NoDa and Villa Heights. Also the Flournoy apartments from Georgia at the same intersection. and those new rental townhomes on N Davidson at Matheson this maybe more NoDa. Popular Post KJHburg
I call this Lower Villa Heights or LoVilHi as this area between N Brevard and N Davidson between Parkwood and Jordan Place really was industrial for the most part. Now it is becoming a huge community of apartment buildings with some commercial mixed in. First down Brevard then up N Davidson. Spacecraft sure has a lot going on in this area. Even in one small neighborhood you would have so many choices for apartments to shop.

That or “Cordelia Park.” This area has a unique vibe and I can’t consider it to be the same NoDa as further north.
