The pit road exit is still a real head scratcher to me. The fact the race track must slow down for a chicane (red line) while the pitting cars have a straight shot out ()blue line) is just weird and should be kind of the opposite. Last year there was an issue with a wreck in the similar area and the cars that pitted had to be stopped because they would've beaten the pace car and cars that remained on track. 

The exiting cars have to line up on the exit line at the back of the chicane this year, they are held to pit road speeds to this point (which is 40 MPH this year from 45 last year) and it seems to keep them to a similar speed as cars in the chicane (although still a mess in terms of overlapping paths). Nashville has been chosen to host the 2023 NHL Draft and NHL Awards at Bridgestone Arena and MCC.

The NHL Awards will be held Monday, June 26, and will honor the league’s best players from the regular season. Awards presented include the Hart Trophy (league MVP), Vezina Trophy (best goaltender), Norris Trophy (best defenseman), Calder Trophy (best rookie) and the Ted Lindsay Award (most outstanding player as voted on by the NHL Players Association).

The NHL Draft will follow two days later with Round 1 taking place on Wednesday, June 28, and Rounds 2-7 on Thursday, June 29. The last time the Predators hosted the draft was in 2003.

Vanderbilt's 100 year-old Dudley Field football stadium will now be known as FirstBank Stadium after the university singed a 10 year naming-rights agreement with the Nashville-based bank.

The financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed. In addition to the naming rights, Vanderbilt Athletics and Vanderbilt Alumni Association will use FirstBank as their official bank. The partnership also sets up engagement with FirstBank through different avenues at the university. Varsity programs with Vanderbilt Athletics have access to a new multimedia arrangement and FirstBank will sponsor various internships and alumni programming.

The Lummis Family Tennis Center will be part of the $300 million Vandy United sports expansion development. 

Architectural design firm Populous is spearheading design of the Lummis Center. The firm has worked on major tennis facility projects worldwide, including at Wimbledon.

The future VU facility will exceed baseline requirements for hosting NCAA postseason competitions, according to the release. The number of indoor courts will expand from five to nine, with added seating, lighting and air conditioning. Two outdoor courts will also be added, with existing courts resurfaced and new lighting installed.

Parts of the existing tennis facility will remain, with improvements.

They played fine, the play calling was questionable. 

I get the mentality of not wanting to get your players hurt in the preseason but if your 1st game of the year is just a dumpster fire of first game mistakes, seems like HEY, maybe you want to play them a touch more in the preseason.
