Carroll proved  everyone wrong including local hotel developers (with more experience in the industry) who stayed away from downtown because they thought new downtown hotels would fail. That would have been the case 25 years ago but downtown has definitely changed since then and business traveler trends have changed. Travelers like to stay in an urban environment within walking distance to restaurants, shops and entertainment. Not so much in suburban hotels off of the interstate like in the past where they would have to get in their car and drive to get those options.

this project turned out good.  photos from yesterday.   the apartments seem to be well leased I did see some vacant units mainly on the lower floors.
