Mark's comments are true. If you do not show up, you can't moan and groan that you never hear anything. Its always been that way on this forum. Thing's have always been shared at the meets that are very exiting including this one. Sometimes I know of things way before they ever show up in the media and I am not going to share them here first because I am part of the media in a lose manor as I am part time with the Post. 

Why would I give you guys a story and risk the competition getting it. NOT going to happen! Sometimes someone on here feeds me info and I have to respect that persons sources and not say anything until it is public. It is not about me being selfish, it is about doing the right thing to protect other people and keeping my word.

Until quite recently, I usually worked on the weekends so either I was at work or asleep....hotel business is a 24/7 365 day a year industry so I missed the meetups.

I’d imagine it would be right in line with the Four Seasons. Back tower likely about as tall as the Sobro.

Circle South is on the lot on the west side of Lafayette and is definitely moving forward.

The artist, Christian Moeller, seems to have designed it to relate to future tall towers that would surround the roundabout.

 

I wrote, on another forum, some comments regarding my opinions about the Stix sculpture;

That is a very interesting point that I had never considered.  Perhaps Stix will finally come into it's own when it is surrounded by towers and isn't just sort of out there on an island by itself.

Well....ok. I definitely respect your opinion, and with these towers surrounding the circle maybe it will take on a whole new perspective. Let’s get them built, then revisit the subject. Maybe it’s just needing some landscaping, instead of the weeds.

Per the most recent NBJ article, they purchased the land for the residential tower and have a capital partner. The grading permit and sewer line relocation permits are working their way through codes, so it’s still moving along.

That's really interesting, I never heard that before. I'm not very into Stix on its own, but I do think that is at least partially because it's currently surrounded by nondescript buildings and parking lots. When surrounded by towers, things that aren't currently endearing like the local vegetation (or weeds as some refer to them haha) will actually look nice and complement the surroundings.

Does this parcel include the Yeehaw Brewing location that just recently opened right there as well as the police precinct? The part along KVB to the north of Yeehaw looks way too small for the tower in the rendering.
