Somewhat surprised it will only be two lanes.  64 is four lanes most of the rest of the way, and that stretch can get pretty busy through that area especially in the summer

few photos of Rocky Mount Mills and the greenway nearby and a couple of downtown Rocky Mount which has so much potential.   They really need that Kingsboro Megasite to get up and developed with a big investment and this city will be really be growing again.    Rocky Mount Mills is just a fantastic project in this 1818 mill.   Rocky Mount has good bones it just needs more jobs and investment.

Greenville as the 2nd largest city in eastern NC deserves it own thread but I will put some photos here.  ECU Medical Center and School is huge and now has a dental school. 

Downtown is getting a new 8 story Hilton Garden hotel the first hotel in downtown Greenville in modern times.

Lots of apartment complexes around town and Royal Farms a Maryland based convenience store chain is opening multiple locations in the city.

Washington often called Little Washington has really invigorated its downtown and waterfront.  Last visit about 5 years they had the beginnings now they have lots of new shops, restaurants, bars, renovations and even more new homes right outside of the commercial downtown.  This is a great city on great water.    Part of NC's Inner Banks.   2 of the old banks have been converted to restaurants one named the Bank Bistro .  Waterfront breweries and rooftop bars and none of this was there 7-8 years ago.   there are Airbnb rentals in some of those buildings like small hotels and apartments.
