Likely anticipation of a neighbor someday soon.

If that's the case, every building on Tryon would be windowless lol, but I think it's just by design, unfortunately (look at my previous post here, Orlando is a cookie cutter with same blank wall).   I will be in Olando next month and will check their GB, but they could have at least put a window at the end of each hallway down the middle (assuming that's the layout).

^^^^ Yes the Savannah Bohemian is beautiful but that city has very strict architectural controls in the historic district which this is located within.  Their new buildings all look "old".   Check out the Savannah thread where I have posted some photos and you will see new hotels that look like they have located in renovated brick warehouses.    Our hotel in uptown looks like a duplicate of the Orlando location.  No one wants a hotel room facing right into another building which one day will happen on that surface lot.

The Orlando Bohemian was built with the assumption that a building would be constructed next door.  Never happened...

I'm not an expert, but my understanding is that, at least with modern construction, if there's a chance of a building having another building constructed within a certain distance, there can be no windows on that side, I understand it's for fire protection.

If I'm wrong, however, then I think that at least it's a good indicator that the designers of this hotel anticipate the architectural significance from this angle is negligible.
