As much as I love this hotel, there was a huge opportunity missed by not including a pool.

They chose to build a ball room with a massive rooftop event space that they will print money from, instead of a free pool that like 2% of their guests will use.

Especially in a post-covid world. The only hotel pools that are used are in Las Vegas or at amusement parks lol. 10000% not a missed opportunity for them.

The signage and vertical Grand Bohemian lettering must be the last and final step.  I've been waiting to see that vertical lettering in hopes it breaks up the blank wall on the back a bit.  Hotel looks good during the day, but come night time, the lighting scheme on this hotel makes it look fantastic.

The Little Rock garden area seems like a waste of space.  They could have put a really nice pool in this area along with the outdoor restaurant seating.

We already went over how unnecessary a pool is, and would be even more of a waste of space...the pocket park here is great and will be used MUCH more than a pool.

For many reasons, I think it will mostly sit empty tbh. It was just a cheap way to fill the space.

We’ll see.

I don't think its a rock garden. I think that will be leveled out and astroturf will go on top, the rocks are for drainage. It will absolutely not sit empty.

AstroTurf would be good. I was hoping it hadn’t been changed out for stone.

The horseshoe bar looks awesome through the window. I plan to spend some nights there :)

ur not the only person who was worried, I've gotten a lot of questions over social media about the "Chinese garden." But yea a sub-base of rock goes down, then the astroturf, its just to keep water from pooling.

Stone base makes sense. I was worried because the sculpture looks a lot more toned down than the rendering. I was thinking the astroturf might have went with it.

Yea I'm confused about the sculpture, it was supposed to be the original sculpture that was in the previous parklette. So thats very concerning. I guess it wasn't Bohemian Style
