Wake County Economic development report.  Download your copy below and great summary of the last fiscal year which runs from Oct to Oct.

WCED_Brochure_EconBiz_1-11-21.pdf (nmcdn.io)

story in Techwire and good comments about Durham county is not the competition for Wake (or vice versa)   I really wish Raleigh Durham would be reunited as the ONE metropolitan area of 2 million people it really is and it would be larger than Nashville.  The cross commuting from Wake to Durham and vice versa and the surrounding counties like Chatham which people commute to both separate metro areas.  The Triangle is one metro to the rest of the country why not for the locals.

New reports shine bright light of Raleigh: No. 1 metro, significant job growth coming | WRAL TechWire

Honestly Charlotte and the Triangle region don't compete on a lot of econ development projects sometimes but it is rare.     Just like the Austin and Dallas metro areas are complementary so are Charlotte and Raleigh Durham Cary Apex Chapel Hill etc.

That’s true.  Charlotte and the Triangle are like New York and Boston.  They each have their own niches.  Moreover, considering that they’re both relative powerhouses in their respective spheres,  they create a fairly potent economic engine for the state and a formidable competitor to other regional metros like Atlanta and Nashville.

I'm still sore that Nashville got that Amazon COE and Raleigh didn't.

Here's what we could have been getting if Raleigh would have won that battle...
