The hotel began sitework/excavation and grading this week also, which can be seen in the background. They have a lot of fill they brought in and will be raising the site grade

hate to waste everyone's time lauding this, but, that photo above is pretty awesome, in that, it shows a formerly empty tract being developed, and a defunct parcel with a two story motel being converted into a nice 8-10 story hotel, across the street from Radius.  I mean, we're going from homeless haven weekly rental and weeds and broken concrete to two very nice projects.  These two projects complete a trio that began with Skyhouse.  If you've ever been to Tampa's courthouse, it is riff raff haven in and around it.  Once this is done, OC Cthse will be in the middle of a high dollar or higher dollar area, with the only liability being the Amelia corridor.

Yep, I just drove by the new crane sections and was going to add them. Thanks!  I also heard them pile driving all week. So they are putting in underground support to start going vertical. The garage section was on the right side was all CIP because it isn't as tall and doesn't need to support as much weight. You  can see the piles as those roud concrete pole thingies on the extreme left side of the photograph. They are putting piles in under the taller structure to shore up the base underground and once that's done they will start building on top of them.
