Radius | 13-Story Residential [Under Construction]

I’m sure this project will be fantastic and all.. But, these lights pointing directly into my apartment at night like the sun is shining is uncalled for. We are on the 14th floor. Normally this happens on Saturday and Sunday. Today is Friday morning and I have to be up in 4 hours for work. I’m wide awake because the lights are literally illuminating my whole apartment. What are the ordinances on this? We cannot be the only ones affected. Are these contractors really unaware that Skyhouse is all residences?..

This is exactly what happened to us at 420 when 520 began construction. The light shining directly into the bedroom was worse than the noise. There's nothing you can do from an ordinance stance. 

Our complex luckily let us move to a unit away from the construction - and didn't charge any transfer fees or anything - we just moved and that was it.

The reason they shine lights in the middle of the night is because they are doing a concrete pour.  The daytime temperature in Orlando is too hot to let the concrete set properly so overnight pours are a standard in markets like this.  Just an FYI.

Sounds tough, but welcome to the board! My husband is a night shift nurse, and we have some pretty legit blackout curtains - maybe time for new window dressings?

Heading north on the South Street exit from I-4, it's the new Suntrust Plaza, of course.  But Radius is also making a huge visual impact.

Yes.  I just thought of that.  CNL has the same effect as Orange Ave curves to the east.  Great call.
