I haul my bike out to the West Orange Trail once in a while. Every time I ride that trail I am shocked at the development changes that I see there. I'll see what I can find out. Cheers.

Groundbreaking for Ocoee’s new City Hall will be next Thursday at 10am. It’s part of the city’s historic redevelopment plan (imagine that - they care about their history while we’re bulldozing ours):

Wow, that is unusual. I wonder how that slipped through without some vetting.

It’s west of Dillard. I think 2 blocks west.

Awesome. Thanks! I’m glad they’re getting more multi family going close to downtown - hopefully 38 units won’t blow away the scale of the neighborhood since they’re studios. Ever since Doug Guetzloe torpedoed the Ropers’ townhome project on the old Thriftway lot, it’s been sort of no-go.

Winter Garden is still awfully Republican but they’ve run circles around Buddy and company on making a user-friendly walkable/bikeable downtown. There’s a grassroots energy and sense of possibilities I haven’t seen in downtown Orlando in ages.

Awesome new build on Plant Street in Winter Garden.  They keep winning with keeping the historical feel of the area.  Lots of detail on this building.  Almost full brick, unique window styles riveted horizontal metal beams over windows, and gas lantern.  Another pocket park with 10’ bronze butterfly sculpture also being added.
