Oakhurst Neighborhood

Had to dig to find this thread.  Photo of the new retail center on Monroe at Chippendale and lots of townhomes have been sold in Oakhurst.   This area is rapidly filling in with new homes scattered all over.  and there is a Common Market across the street from these townhomes and new strip center.

well first time in Oakhurst since Nov. 2019 I guess from my photos above.  There is a new State Employees Credit Union next to the new strip center on Monroe Rd.  So many new homes being infilled in this neighborhood many contemporary.  One older ranch was replaced by 4 homes.   Drive by  today.

New brewery coming to the Oakhurst area of Charlotte in the Monroe Rd corridor.

""Vaulted Oak Brewing has kicked off construction at this former bank site in east Charlotte.  Expect that roughly 4,000-square-foot brewery to open later this year at 3726 Monroe Road. It is part of the Echo Hills and Oakhurst neighborhoods, near the Bojangles Entertainment Complex.  Plans call for a seven-barrel brewhouse. The trio is looking for a head brewer to produce a mix of flagship beers as well as small-batch offerings. ""

The old Eckerd at the corner of Wendover and Monroe has been under construction all summer. They’ve added (a few) windows, moved rear doors around, etc. The only sign up is for the construction company. I looked it up on loopnet but I can only find a sale listing and no mention of an update. Anyone in the know on this?
