Ballots will be mailed to the people who requested them in September. Mail in ballots can be requested until October 27th at 5pm

Per the NC State Board of Elections:

Quote

The Treasury Department has ordered President Trump’s name be printed on stimulus checks the Internal Revenue Service is rushing to send to tens of millions of Americans, a process that could slow their delivery by a few days, senior IRS officials said.

The unprecedented decision, finalized late Monday, means that when recipients open the $1,200 paper checks the IRS is scheduled to begin sending to 70 million Americans in coming days, “President Donald J. Trump” will appear on the left side of the payment.

It will be the first time a president’s name appears on an IRS disbursement, whether a routine refund or one of the handful of checks the government has issued to taxpayers in recent decades either to stimulate a down economy or share the dividends of a strong one.

....

But the president is not an authorized signer for legal disbursements by the U.S. Treasury. It is standard practice for a civil servant to sign checks issued by the Treasury Department to ensure that government payments are nonpartisan.

It's really odd to see the competence of some of these super red state governors and their ability to work with their much more liberal neighbors. There are always the FL, SC, MS, GA and TX's of our country but this pragmatism in the Midwest has been a pleasent shock to me. I just don't get how KY, for example, has a state reacting like this yet electing Paul and McConnell, two of our most craven, self promoting senators? I guess actually being accountable changes some. It's also been very beneficial to having an old style, intelligent conservatism, GOP leader of the nga in Larry Hogan. He's done a great job keeping Trump somewhat under control while helping the states work together.

I was talking with a friend in SC yesterday and wished NC and SC could co-ordinate. Virginia is more concerned with DC and MD and PA (I think). SC and NC have such close ties for transport, commerce, commuting and centers of population. It really should work if they make it a priority.

Unfortunately, PA has gone off the rails which unless their Governor can veto will really muck up the works given their "key" location.

Nearly 43,000 millionaires will get tax breaks worth an average of $1.7M each as parts Coronavirus stimulus package .

“For those earning $1 million annually, a tax break buried in the recent coronavirus relief legislation is so generous that its total cost is more than total new funding for all hospitals in America and more than the total provided to all state and local governments” - UMMMM WHAT THE F--K????

If anyone needed proof of who the government is really working for, it is right here.

Hard to keep up with all the broken promises. This is a laugher though.

As a former general aviation pilot and owner I just hate these companies from Cessna on up. Buried costs, poor warranty hidden everywhere. A naive individual, or ...., whatever Trump is are cannon fodder for these guys. Then there is the incredible waste and corruption in military procurement mixed in on top. Gets worse every year. This cost overrun will continue to balloon.
