As luck would have it, this was in the Biz Journal a couple days ago:

https://www.bizjournals.com/charlotte/news/2021/11/15/duke-energy-elliott-management-reach-truce.html

”Duke Energy Corp. has won at least a year’s peace with activist shareholder Elliott Management Corp.

It has agreed to put two Elliott-approved directors on its board. In exchange, the parties have reached a yearlong “standstill” agreement that prevents Elliott from proposing proxy solicitations to split Duke, add more adherents to the board or oppose any board policies.”

This doesn't bode well long term. After a year, Elliott will probably put more pressure on Duke to sell.

Current situation. D7222B84-5C5E-4B2F-93A9-7581C2DE5F90.thumb.jpeg.aefeeba7e1e3160ca26e978135689052.jpeg

So something like this. Really thought the renderings showed the angle as more dramatic, so I am disappointed. Will hold out final judgment until glass is installed.

@TheRealClayton Any update on if solar panels initially rendered at the crown will still be added, or did those get removed?

Pretty sure the solar panels were scrubbed.

If they canceled the solar panels, I wonder if they'll enclose the crown area, or if the plan is still to leave it open.

This is an amazing building regardless.  Hopefully, the slanted roof will be largely in place when I visit around Christmas.
