Its a beautiful building, but I see a missed opportunity orienting the angular top towards Tryon St. and the West, instead of facing East towards Midtown.  Driving in Providence, all you see is the guts of the top...having the angular top point East would have give the skyline more girth and intrigue too.

One has to wonder how and why the decision was made to angle the top this way? The placement makes sense because of the footprint and having the front of the tower on Tryon Street. But we all can agree that though this is a beautiful tower there were also  many missed opportunities that go along with it.

Admittedly though it's cool to be in a position where a major skyscraper can get lost in a skyline. That's a sign of an impressive skyline.
