anyone else bothered that the light comes through from the other side so easily? Ruins the illusion a lot of the time. Waiting to see if there are any finishing touches but it looks stellar regardless

It does look lowered for sure, but don’t they still need it to install the signage on the sides?

That’s true! Maybe it will linger at that position for a little longer? Otherwise they maybe would use the window washing mechanism?

They've got a crane installed on the top of the building like Wells Fargo across the street to wash the windows, sign installers will use that to install the signage. They did use the tower crane to get all the boxes of the lettering and logos lifted up to the top though!

Saturday appears to have been the last day of the crane…rode bike by early Sunday morning and it appears to be down. South Tryon is closed in front of the building (assuming for the weekend) and the pedestrian tunnel is gone. Notice in the second picture that the infamous parking kiosk appears to still be onsite.

Jean is right, it almost looks like it's see-through on partly cloudy days. Like it's a building from another dimension appearing in ours lol. Beautiful addition to an already beautiful skyline. I think visitors will love this one as it's pretty memorable.

Hey gang.  I had to do some prelim work inside the Duke Energy Plaza today.  There's still so much work to be done so I didn't bother posting construction pics.

Anyway, looks like the typical floor will have the open ceiling.  
Also, here's a shot obviously looking towards South End from the 12th floor.

that open ceiling does NOT look good.  They didn't even upgrade to the more expensive, but better looking round HVAC ducts!

open ceilings simply do not say "we are $21 billion dollar megacorporation"
