I couldn’t get a pic because I was driving but they had two rows of LEDs on the south facing side tonight at the bottom edge of both parapets.  I think all of those top panels are going to illuminate/activate.  That’d be cool.

That might explain why the sign is so low...

Well, the inside bottom edge, at the actual roof.  So the sign will be in the middle of all of it still.

I bet the sign is low because of the transparent nature of those upper panels. I bet it looks better with a solid wall behind it.

It’s actually almost exactly where the rendering shows it. Don’t really see an issue, looks just fine.

Good size and good placement of the Duke signage IMO.  Big enough to be seen from street level but not so big as to be seen from the surface of the Moon (yes that's a dig at another tower in town). Agree with JeanClt, the real thing almost perfectly resembles the rendering.

CBJ article today on tower progress.  With signage installed, exterior is complete except some streetscaping and a public art piece.  Move in will occur between 1-3Q 2023.  Interior is currently 40% complete.  As for exterior lighting, they’ll be testing that over the next couple months and also will eventually take requests for special occasion lighting schemes like the old DEC does. I wonder how that will affect the “syncing” of schemes amongst various towers since the old DEC set the tone and now there will be two towers that accept requests.

Is it at all visible from BoA stadium? I think the old DEC's syncing with the game and stadium lights is incredible and a very unique feature of Panther football. If the new Duke tower is visible I'd love to see it happen there too, but I'm guessing it is blocked by other buildings.

I’d say about 20% of the stadium can see maybe 15% of the building so no it’s not really visible at all unfortunately.

^Well that is interesting!  This whole time I've been thinking the corners of the building were the only regions that would be lit.  I never considered Gumby's entire crown would have lighting.  Exciting!

That’s beautiful.  Funny they smudged out the BofA logo on Legacy. 
 

And that translucent top on Duke looks incredible.  I love how that looks, especially in real life.
