I would say the Kimpton, Grand Bohemian, Dunhill, Ritz, Westin, and even though it’s circa 1988, I think the Hilton at One Wells (or whatever it’s called now) is a more fully fleshed out design.

But my point was not that the JW looks better or worse than other hotels here, but disappointing in the catalog of other recently-built JWs in their portfolio.  We got the runt.

2 hotels I like in uptown one new and one older:  Kimpton Hotel is pretty nice looking with curving facade

I like the Omni (formerly the Radisson) for its trapezoidal all glass facade.

the JW Marriott is great inside and street level.

Mmmm they are nice but let’s be honest. These are nice but not better. Generic at best.

Depends on the source. I don’t know if any of those sources has actually asked a source that would know for sure…like the designer/builder. Anybody’s guess.

This is leasing plan.  This Level 1 space is located between the main entrance and the Gantt Museum.  The Level B1 space is fronting church between the two parking ingress/egress passages, so basically right in the middle of the Church St facade.

Hmm there is a whole second floor of spaces along college. I wonder if they axed that, because they tout 17,000 more than is shown above.
