Remember back on January 23rd, when RDF promised we absolutely have something prior to March 1?

LOL. Well if you really think about it, we actually saw movement before March 1st which is a fantastic sign. Safe to say they have a design chosen

Awww it looks so lonely! I'm glad it has friends now.

All those people walking on 277, GASP, if this were rendered today, they'd be on Bird Scooters on 277 instead

They probably won't unveil new tower while the headline for the CBJ is this:

Can't wait to see rendering though!  Does anyone know what alignment on the parcel the new tower will have? (which street will it front, not address but actual building)

2-4 floor buildings with retail fronting Tryon, with a narrow pedestrian plaza snaking through to the entrance of the tower which is set back to College Street.

Ok I'm trying to picture this. this description makes it sound similar to Hearst Plaza. Am I on the right track in my visualization?

I like that. It'll have a much bigger impact facing college  with having a little more separation from Duke 1.

Yes

More or less. Not as squared off as Hearst, more modern, a little bit more intimate, and keep in mind Hearst Plaza wasn't purpose built. It was very organic.

Jayvee, have you seen the design?  If so, will we likely be pleased or will the likely response be “meh”?
