not sure what this could be.

As other's have said, possibly a mockup, I'm not sure if this will be a steel or concrete building, but even if it is concrete, they could be using steel to create a more open and airy lobby.

Charlotte Rising on South Tryon.   The Duke Metro tower site.   Childress Klein you have my bid for charity for the parking hut saw a red version in Ft Worth but it was still in use.  Let me know when the bidding ends for it or if I need to up my already generous bid for it.     Today.

they know I am wanting it so they are saving it for me.  that is why I elevated my bid for it and made it a charity auction.    If for some reason I don't win it, it better go for thousands for Habitat for Humanity and it would be ideal as a hut on an estate yard in south Charlotte too.   maybe a potting shed, gardeners office, or my idea the first mobile coworking space  called MeWorks.   Ideal replacement for Sheryl's burned up She-shed too.

I bank at Wells Fargo, Bank of America and 5/3 so please deposit your shares for MeWorks where every parking hut comes with a Mr Coffee and 6 pack of craft beer.  And don't worry I wont buy a $60 M jet either but I do have 2 pilot friends I could hire as my pilot. 

I am very excited about this 41 story tower to rise while other cities are building 20-25 story towers we build them big here and preleased 1 Million sq ft too.  Still time to add some floors especially if the buy Santee Cooper, the Jacksonville FL utility company or the Puerto Rican utility they are looking at buying.

Hey guys, I've been on this job off and on since it started this summer and we love seeing the aerial pictures. Someone stumbled upon this forum and some of us check it often but are usually too busy to reply. The I beam contraption in the south west corner is for testing the strength of the piles that the tower crane will sit on.  Things are starting to shape up. Last I heard the beloved guard shack is being saved for the gate guard to use once it starts to get cold out here!

Thanks for your post and keep posting on the site photos and I am no hurry for the parking hut use it as long as you need to and then I will buy it and donate the money to Habitat in Childress Klein's name.

Looking at their progress I seriously doubt it.  I gave an estimate a month ago but I’m pretty sure there won’t be vertical construction (peaking above ground level) until sometime in the Mid to Late 1st Quarter of next year.

They have Hauling restrictions, Blasting Restrictions, Noise Restrictions, etc to work around slowing things down.  Not to mention it’s typically cold wet rainy weather we’re coming into (fall/winter) as well as the major Holidays.

Did CK also develop DEC? DECN renderings were quite stingy too IIRC. The only reason I can think of is that it was mentioned the design wasn't finalised when they announced the building ?

some photos from this weekend over the fence.  and yes Childress Klein did develop the Wells Fargo owned Duke Energy Center and their client at the time was Wachovia.

Yes they did. DEC was originally 34 floors and was later changed to 48, so maybe this one will grow in size as well before it’s completion.

The hut needs  paint and a good cleaning.  CK should be a little creative and paint it an obnoxious color like orange, purple or pink.
