New Courtyard Suites coming to Downtown Winston-Salem

In a further development of the downtown hospitality market that bodes well with the upcoming completion of the Benton Convention Center renovations, a Courtyard by Marriott is proposed on W. Fourth Street conveniently next door to Foothills Brewing, one of the largest craft brewers in the state, that is slated for opening in  2019.  It appears to have a rooftop amenities floor that will offer a great view of the downtown skyline. This is one of several hotels that have been proposed for the central city that follows the lead of the Cardinal Kimpton Hotel along with the Hotel Indigo that is currently under construction in the Pepper Bldg. at W. Fourth & N. Liberty.

It will be good to see development go down Fourth Street.  This end of the street has always felt disconnected.  Also to see some height will be good.
