Round 1 Bowling and Entertainment Center opening at Four Seasons Town Centre

Looks like the mall in Greensboro is getting a bowling and entertainment center. Round One is a Japanese bowling center chain that recently entered the U. S. Market. It will be the first location in North Carolina. The closest one is in the Atlanta area and its very similar to Dave and Busters which is a competitor. My guess is if they are not adding on to the mall, they will likely occupy one or more of the three former Dillards floors. Belk recently closed at Four Seasons and Dillard's moved to the former Belk space. Belk has a "flagship" store at Friendly Center along with a free standing Belk home store. It's now the only Belk in the city.

Round One will include billiards, ping pong, karaoke, an arcade, kids zone and more. If they occupy all three of the former Dillards levels it could end up being one of the larger locations and include more entertainment that some Round Ones have such as a skating rink. Interesting fact...Four Seasons is the only 3 level mall in the state. There is actually a lower sub level (4th level) at the center of the mall but that space is for events. But more than likely it will only take up one floor of the old Dillards store. Round Ones are typically 55,000 square feet. However a construction bidding website says it could be as large as 100,000 square feet meaning it would take up multiple floors.

Looks like Round Ones are common in malls.

Here is the now vacant old Dillards space at Four Seasons which will likely be the location of Round One.

Here is a former Macy's at a mall in Illinois that will be converted to a Round One Bowling and amusement center. So I'm pretty sure the same will happen with the old Dillards store in Greensboro.

Round 1 Bowling and Amusement Center opens at the mall Saturday.  The facilty is similar to Dave and Busters.

With 13 locations nationwide it will be the second location in the south, the other being in Atlanta.

In addition, Four Seasons Town Centre will be getting another entertainment attraction as mentioned in the article above. All in Adventures will be locating in the mall.

All In Adventures offers guests the chance to become real-life detectives during an interactive and immersive escape room experience. With 50-minutes on the clock, guests must find clues, solve puzzles, and decipher hidden codes to escape the themed room of their choice.

I went to the round one alllll the time when I was living in Hiroshima. Actually it opened while I was there, sometime in 2003-2004. It was kinda expensive but there was lots of fun stuff to do. Great to see they will have karaoke - hope it's honest to goodness Japanese style karaoke. In private booths. With J-pop songs to sing. That would get me to drive to Greensboro, for sure. No Japanese karaoke exists around here in the Triangle. There's a few Korean places but the selection of Japanese songs is extremely limited and rather out of date.
