Major master planned community in Southport by East West Partners and Bald Head Island developers

http://www.wilmingtonbiz.com/real_estate_-_residential/2020/07/28/major_project_in_the_works_in_southern_brunswick_county/20691

as Brunswick County is one of the fastest growing counties in the state this is probably a home run.

East West did Meadowmont in Chapel Smell.  I think they do respectable work.  I still can't figure out why Brunswick County -- literally across the bridge from downtown Wilmington -- was moved to the Mrytle Beach, SC MSA.  Most of the growth in Brunswick County is in the north -- Southport, St. James, Leland, etc., and associated with Wilmington.  The only thing I can think is that it was political.

I agree it needs to be metro Wilmington and yes a few people in the southend of the county commute to SC but most of the northern half commutes into Wilmington.

Yes East West Partners does great work and not just saying that because I worked for them years ago but they do. Meadowmont, Adams Farm in Greensboro, Davis Lake in Charlotte,  apartments in downtown Durham and in Wilmington River Place.

Here are some general downtown Wilmington photos on this spring like Feb. day.  Downtown has never looked so good.   Here are some downtown miscellaneous photos to get this thread started on NC's largest coastal city.   Downtown has historical buildings and high rises, new hotels and high rises, new condos new apartments, apartments over retail etc.
