Breaking news KJ sees crane base on LYNX ride into uptown today.  Photos to prove it as always.  the newest part of Charlotte Rising.  Crane base through fence to right of red  DANGER sign.  Better view of it from the train but I could not snap a photo in time.   Busy construction site today.

this building was being worked on today.  Crane bases in but no cranes yet.   Hopefully this will jump start this area.

Yes they gave up a little bit of space but they are still the largest tenant there.  It is cheaper space due to the location at the far end of N Tryon.

It has a lovely little courtyard with benches and tables if you ever want a slightly secluded but nice sunny place to eat lunch.

Don’t go to that courtyard on the weekend. You’ll be kicked out by security (with presumably nothing else to do) within minutes.

I assumed plazas and courtyards were public spaces. They have other thoughts on the matter.

Yes it is private and technically the Wells Fargo Plaza fronting Tryon is as well as the whole Greene park between St Peters and the Ratlciffe condo.  I do understand why they would not people there on weekends though due the location.    I have walked through there on a weekend and never had anyone say anything to me but I did not sit down or anything.

Crane going up today.

This crane really changes the north end of the skyline! At 384', and from this angle, the Ellis may optically match the height of 201 South College. Now we just need the Intercontinental and Spirit Square to fill in the gap.
