It occurred to me that the yellow building I was recalling looked different and was apparently not a Lennar building:

I don't know if the Lennar project was built and if it looked like the rendering.  Nonetheless, yellow stands out in person.

Kind of doubt it.  RDF said a month or so ago that this building was going through a design revision which is why it took so long for these renderings to come out.  I'm sure this includes a few structural changes as well that might take time to complete and then you have to wait for all the permits.  Add that to the construction labor shortage and a 3rd Qtr 2018 start for construction doesn't sound that far fetched.

I think, Lennar's job is to provide the retail space, which they are! In the end, the space will be taken/leased by whoever is able to pay the rent and stay profitable.

I like this tower and much needed on east side of uptown.  Makes me think of this 1st ward finally has its piece of the pie and deluxe apartments in the sky.  1st Ward is really moving on up.  and now in the Big League.   Best expressed in this theme song for this one of my favorite TV shows. 

 

and not that last shot is not the revised design maybe RDF apartment in NYC!

The yellow looks horrendous. Especially for something mildly prominent in Uptown. I guess we’ll see. Sometimes final products look better than renderings.

Some prominent yellow skyscrapers work really nicely.

I have no problem with the yellow, but those uneven vertical sections make it look jumbled and haphazard. Maybe the finished product will look better but I'm not encouraged.

If I can make a prediction. I think this hotel will go Hilton properties. Stacked Canopy by Hilton and Homewood Suites. Letters of intent are worth only the amount of the paper they are printed on, and I this hotel has been on Hilton's website for almost 2 years with no movement on Levine's property.

I remember Levine  saying  that he would have to get a developer for the hotel,  because he has no experience in building a hotels.

I seriously doubt it is the Hilton Canopy/Homewood combo.

My best guess is a Element by Starwood, or perhaps this is where the Indigo finally lands.
