If NC we're to legalize gambling

This is a huge hypothetical and probably more just a thought experiment. But if NC we're to legalize gambling for the construction of a new casino, outside of Cherokee that could be built anywhere in the state, where would you want it?

Would you prefer it to go in/near Asheville or Wilmington to increase their tourist attractions, in/near a major city such as Charlotte, Raleigh/Durham, W-S/Greensboro, or a new location all together?

Link to MGM National Harbor, pretty cool place, new casino just finished this year outside of DC.

The Catawba Tribe who's reservation is based in York County, SC has a petition before the Bureau of Indian Affairs to build a casino/hotel complex in Kings Mountain NC right off of I-85.  I have not heard anything more about the proposal or where the application is at in the federal approval process (think they submitted the information back in 2015 I believe).  Apparently the tribe has a agreement with Hard Rock Cafe to operate the resort/casino if it is ever approved.  Maybe someone on UrbanPlanet might be privy to this information!

Lots of ongoing litigation I believe, and that's the latest I've seen from earlier this year. Was initially proposed back in 2013 so it has already dragged on for a number of years and I imagine the lawsuits will continue to drag it out. There is also a lawsuit challenging the state ban on casinos based on the fact that the lottery is legal.

If casino gambling got state and public support and became legal, you would probably see land directly outside of the Cherokee Reservation being turned into casino resorts first piggy backing off  Cherokee. I think you would see row after row of casinos near Cherokee. It would be the Las Vegas of our state. Coastal areas near Wilmington would likely be targeted next due to the area's tourism. Charlotte would likely become the first city in the piedmont to have a casino resort.

Now if South Carolina made casino gambling legal Myrtle Beach would eventually turn into major casino destination among the likes of Las Vegas and Atlantic City, NJ . Myrtle Beach has the tourism to support the casino gaming industry in a big way.  There are already cruise ships in Myrtle Beach that go out into international waters for casino gambling.
