So, they are reduced to naming developments after old downtown movie theaters. We have 'Lowes' Hotel, the 'Crescent' Music Row and now the 'Paramount'. All that's left is the 'Tennessee' and the 'Knickerbocker'.

The Loews Hotel chain is out of New York and has nothing to do with the old Loews Melrose Theater here.

Notice in Gethan's piece, he used a picture so old that the Schermerhorn is still under construction! Man, when is the Tennessean going to get updated photographs of the city?

I can attest that as somebody involved in newspapers, that nighttime rendering was provided by Tony or the architectural firm. It's doubtful the Tennessean created that rendering.

How Paramount compares to other southeastern US 700 footers (completed or under construction per 2015 World Almanac).

The roof of the highest occupied floor seems to be close to the highest floor height of most of the other buildings excepting BOA in Atlanta and the 'under construction' Panorama in Miami.

The Schemerhorn is completed in that picture.

I think you are referring to some trucks in the parking lot north of the Schemerhorn. Looks like those trucks are setup for some type of special event, like CMA Fest. That lot is used occasionally for special events.
