You mean like getting the city to excavate his site for him, build his foundations, and provide him parking. Oh... and pay him for the privilege of doing so?

Seriously, with that kind of deal if this tower doesn't go then something is wrong.

All depends on financing my friend! Let's see how cooperative the banks are.

And a slightly Google-ized version...

I love this!!  I realize that camera angles can be manipulated to show any number of perspectives, but this picture really highlights just how dense the central core of downtown Nashville is.  I wish this could be the go-to picture of downtown Nashville instead of the tired view from the pedestrian bridge.

I couldn't agree more. Especially with the last sentence....I absolutely despise that tired pic you speak of from the bridge. That picture angle makes Nashville look smaller than Knoxville from any angle.

I just landed in Chicago and noticed something leaving Nashville

We took off headed South then made a sharp turn.  We kept turning closer and closer to downtown.

We really did fly over downtown.  Probably over the Tennessee tower.

So turns out the day wasn't just being a pain.

Oh, er...I'm still trying to figure out what was leaving Nashville. :silly:

Don't recall being lucky to have flown over DT, where I work, but I have banked over Radnor Lake, the Bordeaux Bridge, my own city block (yeah!!), and even the rail yard where I worked in Norfolk, Va ─ even flying from Charlotte to Chicago and passing enroute over the Cincinnati Union Terminal..... but in all my born days I never have been blessed with flying over DT in our namesake.city. :(
