As far as the 2 tower, hotel project that was posted on here last week.....I have heard from two sources and one being the horses mouth that the design was a couple of years old. So don't hold your breath for that concept or design. I will bet it will be something totally different.

Can you please refresh my memory? So much going on. I don't remember which two tower hotel development you are talking about.

Police HQ moving to Jefferson St next to Knock Out w@NGZ, this is an excellent proposal which will help clean up that side of Jefferson, which IMO would lag behind the development of Jefferson St inside the loop.

1421 9th Ave N is sold and will close Friday, listing agent indicated contract sales price slight above list price, but wouldn't give me a number.

Guessing contract sales price of $350,000 for 1,897 sq ft, $184/ sq ft in Historic Buena Vista.

Met the new buyer of 1009 Monroe yesterday.  Complete gutting and renovation to take place soon, will be a single family home again after being somewhat neglected and abused as a boarding house and squatter haven for many years.  She let us take a look inside - it is really a special property.  115 years old!  She said that she beat out a buyer that had plans to make it a halfway house, thank god.

She did end up saving it.  It would have been renovated for compliance as a transition house, but eventually it would have become further dilapidated down the line and bulldozed, either before or after someone would have set in on fire.  I'm sure that that house now would hug her if it could.

Finally some positivity! It's good to hear someone optimistic about the thing instead of lamenting how it doesn't have 28,000 seats.

Personally, I think it looks great. I see the thing every day on my commute to work and it seems to be shaping up rather nicely. Glad to know we have an opening date!

Not really "lamenting" about it, but I do have deep concerns about the concourse of traffic, both rubber and foot, because of where it is, far more so than with the Ballpark.  They're just going to have to break down and do some kind of thing.  As I expect it be an "ace" winner, that virtue by itself means that Metro Traffic and Parks and Rec will need to shuffle some cards (and I don't mean tarot cards).

There are literally thousands of parking spots just 1/3 mile away on the other side of the river.  People are going  to have to learn to walk a little bit.  It's all part of being a walkable city, isn't it?

I think that should be said for any where to have to walk in DT.  Just cut out the buses ─ they show up when they feel like it anyway, and you usually can hump it on foot and beat the bus, in most cases.

That's a great summary piece by William at the Post on the hotel boom around the MCC. Anxiously awaiting the formal announcements by some of these large projects in the upcoming weeks.

I don't recall if this piece from the Bizjournal was posted about the Tribute Hotel, going into the Noel Building.  Claims to be 4-Star and shows some pics of decor. Looks very nice.
