I don’t understand. Can someone explain why we don’t want to tip someone off based on publicly accessible documents? Who is someone? Is the developer not going to build if people on the internet find their water application?

But for real. I don't get it. I thought this was a community to discuss development in Nashville, but if there are ulterior motives and "competition" I'd just like to know what's going on.

Lower Broadway looks like this today — several days after last week’s NASCAR events.  Butch Sprydion, CEO the CVB, publicly stated that crews were already at work cleaning and removing tire marks on the pavement. Apparently not so.  This Twitter photo was taken today (Sunday).

That's just people suddenly realizing that Broadway dead ends at the river and they need to do a Uee...in the most Nashville way possible

I’d imagine with a very strong pressure washer.

There is actually specialized steam equipment for this. Most commonly it is used at airports to clean rubber off of the runways.

Ironically enough, another entity that would have these machines would be... NASCAR (for cleaning rubber off the tracks to keep them from becoming too slippery). So there is no excuse for why NASCAR and/or the visitor's bureau didn't anticipate this issue and have it scheduled as part of the initial clean up of the event.

Actually, NASCAR does not possess this as far as I know. The major equipment they utilize at the tracks is AirTitan which is an track drying technology (they partner this with traditional jet dryers). Mother nature handles clearing away the rubber laid down on the track (rubber actually makes the track stickier so better for traction). So much so that many tracks have been adding a "traction compound" to preferred grooves to increase traction.

LG Development Group out of Chicago will close a purchase today for the 2 acre plot at 909 Division St. that includes A+ Self Storage for $25 million. The site is zoned for development up to 150' tall, but initially their plans are to keep the storage units there since so much residential development is occurring in the blocks immediately surrounding it (1,300 units currently in The Gulch, and 700 more in pipeline).

"The truth is, we’re not just a developer: We’re also an investor. It’s mixed bag whether we end up redeveloping the property or just taking advantage of the location," Daniel Haughney (of LG Development) said. "We feel really well-positioned as a storage facility. But at some point, there will be a 'highest and best use' analysis done, and [that answer] might not be storage."
