IMHO that one has turned out disappointingly bland. Could have used a lot more brick similar to the original structure. Can't see the windows close-up, but if they're aluminum framed 'sash' knockoffs, then that would be the ultimate unforgivable sin :tw_smirk:

Lest someone get upset with my bluntness, I do like that I can count over 10 buildings in that photo that did not exist just 5 years ago.

I cannot wait for those parking lots to the north of Charlotte to get developed. Honestly some low rise, dense development would go well there so as not to kill the sight line to the Capitol. Break it up into smaller blocks and build it out into a 3-4 story row house neighborhood.

It will not happen for a long time because they are all state owned lots.

Not sure exactly what this is, but Atlanta's Two Capital Partners has landed a $13.4 million construction loan tied to the 5 story building at 211 7th Ave. North.  They plan to build 58 one-bedroom residential units on the address of 213 7th Ave. North, which is currently a courtyard space.

What a weird place to try and squeeze in a 5-story building, much less nearly 60 small apartments. Are they going for the STR market?

Don't know much about this.  'Twas a very small blurb in NBJ.  Hard to tell if they are converting some office space in 211 building to residential, or if it is a whole new structure on the courtyard 213 lot.
