Sonic Automotive, a luxury/import dealership headquartered in Charlotte, has purchased the former NovTech building and lot (1 acre) at 15 Lindsley Ave. for $6.6 million. It is not clear which brand(s) of cars will be featured at this new site.

Why would a car dealership want a 1 acre lot downtown. Seems kind of small and pricey for that use?

Cummins Station will be getting an exterior facelift, primarily to the main level to give improved pedestrian accessibility.  A better defined main entrance, stairways from street level, and streamlined parking along 10th Ave. South will be featured. OHM will oversee the job. MDHA's Design Review Committee will have to approve at their meeting tomorrow (Tuesday).

I would think a luxury car show room. Show off your best inventory, lots of more traffic going through downtown than say Belle Meade. But who knows.

Sonic Automotive has an urban Audi in downtown Houston.  I'm sure it will be similar.

For a 3 story building, I think this fits very nicely into the urban fabric. I was afraid it would look very suburban.

Ludlow Flats (5 stories, 64 units, 3,000 sq. ft. commercial space) will now be known simply as The Ludlow.   First completed units should be done in October.
