Drove by the other day and noted the sheer scale of the unactivated street level side perched right on Rosa Parks.  Pretty disappointing, it feels like a total dead zone.    With this being sort of the gateway from the highway and Metro Center to  Garfield/Buchanan Street District, Salemtown and Germantown,  it feels like a missed opportunity.

Raisin' Cane's Chicken at 212 Broadway (the 4 story Baxter Building, circa 1891) is finishing up the cleaning/repair of brick and stone work on exterior.  Scaffolding along Broadway has come down. Looks quite nice.

Did they restore the bricked up window openings facing Broadway and restore it to the original fascade?  The last photos  I saw still had the crappy brick infill.

Are you thinking of this building (which was a Kinkos/then FedEx store for the last 20+ years) or the one down the street that was Cotton Eye Joe’s? I think this building has always had the original window openings as seen in the photo with the post. The old Cotton Eye Joe’s building is supposed to be getting the bricked up windows restored to their original state.

531-533 Lafayette St. (home to Hermitage Design Center and Off the Wagon Tours) has been purchased for $22.75 million by EQT Exeter, a major real estate player based out of Philadelphia with over $30 billion in equity capital.   It feels like this is going to be a residential complex, but no details have been offered yet.

Wasn't there a project announced some time ago for that lot at the intersection of Lewis Way and 7th (white building with rounded edge)?

The full block on which 3rd & Lindsley Bar & Grill and a half dozen other businesses resides in a complex known as Downtown Business Center II looks like it will be razed and built into 438 unit residential complex (perhaps 8 stories?) by Woodfield Development.  The technical address is 805 President Ronald Reagan Way (2nd Ave. South).  The developers have not finalized the purchase yet, however they have employed Kimley Horn for land planning and engineering for the project. No renderings yet.

The popular music venue, 3rd & Lindsley, appears to be looking at a relocation into the WeHo area.  All of the leases in Downtown Business Center II look to be ending by the end of 2023.

The Livery Residences (2 stories?) site continues to see slight changes.  Fencing is down, and gravel now laid.  It had been a staging area for improvements to a structure nearby.   No word on if this is every going to get out of the ground.
