Business Journal says Pine St Flats had a water incident Tuesday and from what I can tell Terrazzo did as well (lots of ice on the Division side and caution tape on sidewalk near entrance). Having been through neighbors causing a flood I know that's a real drag.

Also would love to see sliver rendering.

Boy did we.  I heard as much as 30% of the building flooded, it's really bad.  The portion of the building I live in didn't flood but I walked out into the court yard yesterday and the building was covered in sheets of ice like a frozen waterfall.  Residents had all their soaking wet stuff dragged out into the hall.  The leasing office was also completely destroyed.  I originally heard that the sprinklers went off but now there are conflicting reports.  Either way it happened on the 7th floor and soaked every floor below it.

This is going to cost some real cheddar to clean up.  This should be a lesson to developers trying to hastily complete buildings after they fall behind schedule.  You can't overlook things like insulating pipes in a building that hundreds of people are paying top dollar to live in.

That confused me with Pine St, that building isn't for sale right? You'd think if Marketstreet intended to hold it the quality of construction would be more important.

Does Codes not inspect new residential projects before they are occupied?

Codes is probably about as competent as the people who didn't insulate the pipes correctly.  Also they supposedly installed the windows incorrectly so when it got cold outside the aluminum on the inside of the windows frosted over like an old deep freezer, which has lead to mold on the window seals.  This building is a disaster on so many levels.  Anyone thinking of moving here should probably reconsider.

I had that happen to me at my old house, luckily all the water went in the crawl space after the plumber doing a routine inspection found the leak.

My big question is when is Bob Muelller going to get rid of that 1970's porn star mustache! He has had that thing 40 years now!

Slightly underwhelmed with how this has turned out.   I wouldn't exactly call this corner "activated" now.

Another step forward for Sheet Music

Very positive news.

Maybe Tony can still get Mrs. Crow's building since she never started her 24 hour diner for which she got a demo permit months ago. I am sure The Sobro could use that corner of land for something besides a dilapidated building which is about to crumble.

That is a bit underwhelming.

Oh, I've been by it in its new unveiled state.    I know there is to be a restaurant of some sort on the left wall that is still to come, but I mean overall I was expecting something that transformed that corner from just the back side of the arena to a more pedestrian scaled area.    It still looks/feels like the ass-side of the arena, even with the little video board.     Maybe the restaurant will help things if it includes some level of outdoor activity.   Staying tuned....

I'm reading 'disappointing' and 'underwhelming' and I'm thinking that you all were thinking this was going to be something it is not. It's a minor facelift to the part of the arena that is directly accessible from the MCC. It's not (despite the language in one of the early press releases) the "new front door"...it's a few million dollars to make it a little more inviting. The shot doesn't show the restaurant space (which is not complete, but has tables and chairs outside currently)...I think that will add quite a bit to the overall look when it is up and running. It's not going to 'activate the street' or whatever buzzword you want to use...because that's not really necessary. That stretch of street isn't a cozy stretch of restaurants, bars, or shops...it's entrances to the MCC, the CMHoF, Bridgestone, and the Schermerhorn. All big event places, with big crowds.

The Preds management has done a good job of giving the arena a more updated look (primarily on the inside)...perhaps some day the outside will get a more comprehensive facelift and look more inviting. Perhaps they'll add some retail on the Broadway side. But I don't get why you are all underwhelmed. It pretty much looks like the rendering, minus the dozens of shadow figures.
