The Broadstone Stockyard mixed-use residential development (4 & 5 stories, 334 units) has filed for a permit related to stormwater grading.  An early fall start date is planned for groundbreaking.

^ Why did they not do underground utilities?  Is that not the direction for new residential development in Nashville?  If not, it should be.

Hampton Inn Skyline update (7 stories, 126 rooms, 8,000 sq. ft. of retail) update.  Up to 6th floor.  Rock'n'Dough Pizza has committed to 5,000 sq. ft. of the retail space.

No, its about 5 miles north near all the development happening at the entrance to Skyline Medical Center:

The Holiday Inn Express (6 stories, about 120 rooms) at 303 Clay St at intersection with 3rd Ave. North at the south tip of MetroCenter, is about to break ground, as a grading permit has been secured.  The developer, Omega Hotel Group,  has enlisted Chattanooga-based Humphreys & Associates Contractors to build the structure, Ragan-Smith & Associates for land planning, and David R. Carter & Associates for architectural duties. A fall, 2019 completion date is expected.

The converted warehouse that had been the home for 8 months to Kuchnia & Keller at the NE corner of  3rd Ave. North and Monroe is going to reopen as Mop/Broom Mess Hall, and will be very family-oriented in menu and presentation.

Embrey Partners will build-out the undeveloped 9.7 acre parcel at 101 Athens Way in MetroCenter into an 11 building (ranging from 2 to 4 stories) apartment campus featuring  323 units.  It will have surface parking.
