WOW!!! Can't wait for this to be completed. I know we have already seen this pic before, but I really like how this building flows with the other gulch buildings. Now if we can just get the left side of Demonbreun developed, the parking lots next to the railroad tracks. Are those parking lots owned by the Tennessean?

Some of the lots I think are owned by CSX and the ones a little further down are owned by the Tennessean. One of their larger lots is for sale, however when and if it is sold, a parking structure and or agreement would be required for the Tennessean employees. That at least is how I remember it being reported.

There is a blog from William here about leasing agent for G Crossings. There is a rendering that we have not seen before of the front of the building along 11th.

I will hold out hope they don't continue the tradition of useless retail in the Gulch. Nail salon and essentials please.

Also a link to www.gulchcrossing.com there.

What's everyone's guess as to what is next out of the ground?

Has the timeline moved forward?    Article says construction start 2015.     I seem to recall the early reports when Emery's bid was announced had a 2017 start and 2019 completion, which seemed needlessly slow.

I think that was for the tower portion, which I still have my doubts on.

Lingerie designer wants to build high-tech apparel factory in downtown Nashville

http://www.bizjournals.com/nashville/blog/2014/04/lingerie-designer-wants-to-build-high-tech-apparel.html?page=all

Any idea where she may be able to locate?? There are still quite a few warehouse type buildings in the Laffayette (I'm sure I spelled this wrong) area in SOBRO and near Greer Stadium area.

Other than, not sure where an apparel factory can locate downtown

I'm all for the jobs and....the lingerie models this factory will bring.

I am inclined to think that would be the area as well.

Affordable places to eat will have to be part of the Jefferson St revitalization once the ball park goes up.  Someone is going to put in a great sports bar and make a fortune.

Nicer grocery store unlikely to happen as the Farmer's Market will probably throw a fit, the Kroger on Rosa is improving, but needs a complete renovation of of the building, and managers.

Read in the Tennessean that the African American Music Museum will be downtown on Broadway in the new concept that is replacing the old Convention Center.  I sent a tweet to the article's author if he knew what the lot will be used for, no response yet

A team of University of Maryland graduate students has taken top honors at the 2014 Urban Land Institute Student Urban Design Competition with its plan to redevelop Nashville’s Sulphur Dell neighborhood.  The UofM design, called Chords, proposes a partnership between existing private owners or property in Sulphur Dell and the State of Tennessee. 163 teams comprising 815 students from 72 universities in the United States and Canada participated in the competition.

This is great news. If both the condo and apartment markets are strong that bodes very well for future development. I was getting a little worried about all the rentals coming with no owner occupied developments being built. This will also make a Sobro an easier sell if there isn't another high end apartment being marketed.

I saw this. Surprising he already has 50 million in contracts and no advertising. This bodes well for another condo tower to be built soon in Nashville. May give the residential tower at 505CST more life. We need a signature tower of significant height.

This also is good news for the SoBro project as there will still be a market for high end rentals.
