Nice pics.  I think that parcel across from 1212 is the site that Corner Realty is shopping/proposing for the 60-story Four Seasons hotel and condo tower.

A shame to have all those tracks, a historic train "station" (at least the building and area), but no damn train service!!  Perfect location for a hub .

I am friends with the Bloom family and was told Four Seasons was out, but this conversation was about 6 months ago, so maybe things have changed... hopefully it has changed.

Us crazy folks decided to have a separate thread down below the pinned threads to go into detail. Got a little confusing trying to keep track of multiple large projects.

 

The separate threads usually start when the project starts, but sometimes, in the case of Virgin, it is started right away.

 

I know it can be a little crazy, especially now we have multiple large projects underway.

The 24 hour diner is moving fast now. The basement has been excavated and concrete block has been delivered. Footers have been poured as well.

Hope they're using plenty of rebar to withstand the blasting and 2 story hole that's about to start a couple feet away.

You are right about that. 20' or so is the depth of the hole at the NE corner. Don't ask how I know as well, but I do.

Yeah, I saw that on my way home from work yesterday.  That was a day-labor office for a really long time.  Someday this building, too, will be gone and replaced by something much better.

The elevator shaft and stairwell shaft has reached the fifth floor patio that is being built on top of the ACME venue. The patio will be the biggest downtown and with the best view of the river.
