The others face Capitol Park. I believe the taller one is called simply the "Capitol Park Building" formerly the Peter Smith & Son's Company, and then American State Bank, I believe. It's currently owned by Exclusive Realty of Detroit with a "deal pending" to sell it (http://www.exclusive-realty.com/properties.html). I wonder who's in negotations to buy it?

BTW, I haven't been around here in awhile; how is the foundation work for the The Griswold ~ Capitol Park going?

Hey, the north views from the Griswold will be pretty nice too! Very "authentic" Detroit views, I'm sure! :)

The progress is still below the ground, but one gets the feeling when you see it, that the above-ground work is right around the corner.

Is there an irony exposed between the poor hood dwellers who will always cry for social justice (as long as they exist) and the fact that they support Kwame Kilpatrick's fraudulent leadership spending public money on himself?

I say yes, and also wonder how and why the world works in such ways sometimes.

I really wanted to badly go to the Brownfields Conference this week but due to my new job I couldn't. The only press I have seen on the conference was in model D. Anyone have any first hand experience or knowledge on any possible development or clean up as a direct result of the conference?

2 brothers got an ok from the city to renovate the GAR building and move their video production firm there. Hopefully this will actually happen in the near future. I thought it was supposed to be renovated a while back.
