I am a bit disappointed that Gino's East does not serve lunch.   Watched them renovate the Sole Mio building for months and was very excited.   Hopefully they add it down the road

I have nothing against them I love Italian deep dish pizza Haha. They can be on the ground floor of the building.  I've never been to Gino's East I need to try it out sometime. Their food looks amazing!

I have no inside knowledge on this or anything, but I'm guessing the reason probably has to do with the fact that Chicago style pizza usually takes 45 ish minutes to cook, and since most people running out for lunch are looking for something quick, that's a no go.  Anyhow, welcome to the forum!

Plus...after eating that heavy concoction of bread, tomato sauce and cheese, you're likely to fall asleep at your desk by 1:30.

The Chicago Ginos open at 11am, but Chicagoans have learned how to plan ahead.    I expect in time, with demand, the SoBro Ginos will have lunch hours.

They just opened one in Atlanta late 2018, and it is open 11am-10pm.........every day of the week

Not out of the realm of possibility in the future, but we will have to wait until the amount of land available in the city is a premium. Too much open land for someone to take on that kind of project right now

Just looking at that. I remember about 20 years ago, the Nashville office of my firm (then) took a few prospective hires over to what was then Have a Nice Day Cafe (I think that was it's full name) although it wasn't much of a cafe. It was a bar. And I remember wondering to myself why we would even take any potential hire anywhere near downtown, much less that part of downtown. This was in spring 1998, and it was truly desolate. The Bridgestone had just been opened, but you could actually see it from the front door of that place.  I can't even remember much about that evening, but there was dancing going on. As a newly married guy, I was no fun. I sat at our tables and chatted. Then left after about an hour. Twenty years may seem like a long time to some, but it's NOT. Then there are moments like this. Seeing that area of downtown plowed under like that really makes the span of time seem even longer.

Not with those massive construction trailers there.  They seem to be in the way of the straightened out of Molloy.
