If it ain't broke, don't fix it?

There is a plan afoot to remake the street level of Manhattan's  1970's postmodern icon AT&T tower to hopefully make it more accessible and welcoming. 

Admittedly, it has always been foreboding at street level, but do you mess with a building designed by noted architect Philip Johnson? 

(Interesting aside: Johnson was also the designer of Celebration's Town Hall.)

i do believe there is too much of glasswashing, especially in superskyscrapers nowadays
